I’ve created a card using the Gnorman For All Digi Stamp. I’ve also used a star from the Sketch Challenge #115 digi set and stripe shapes I created in Microsoft Word. I’m absolutely in love with creating cards with digital stamps.
I start by pasting Gnorman, from the Gnorman For All Digi Stamp Set, into Microsoft Word. I print the image onto 100# Hammermill cardstock. I color it using Ohuhu Markers, then cut it out with my Brother Scan N Cut machine. All of the colors I use to create this project are listed down below in the product information.
Then, in Microsoft Word, I paste the star image from Sketch Challenge #115 forty-two times. I arrange them into a 3 ¾” x 5” rectangle. I insert another rectangle shape and adjust it to fit below the stars, into the 3 ¾” x 5” rectangle. I copy that rectangle four more times to create the five stripes in my flag background.
Just like the Gnorman image, I print the flag background onto 100# Hammermill cardstock and color it with my Ohuhu markers.
To create mats for the background, I cut several pieces of cardstock. Starting with the red cardstock, I cut that at 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. The next layer is white cardstock, cut at 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”. The final mat layer is navy blue cardstock cut to 4” x 5 1/8”.
I layer all of the mats and the background and adhere them together with acrylic matte medium.
The sentiment I used is “it’s the season of sparkling skies” from the Warm & Fuzzy Unicorn stamp set, also by TLC Designs. I stamp the sentiment on the bottom right-hand side of my flag background panel, with Versifine Onyx Black Pigment ink. I sprinkle clear embossing powder over the stamp image and heat it with my heat tool until the embossing powder melts.
Finally, I pop up Gnorman with some double-sided adhesive foam and adhere him to my background panel. I really love how this patriotic card turned out. Gnorman, in his Statue of Liberty robe is so adorable!
