Hello friends of TLC Designs.  Shannon here with another handmade card tutorial.

Today I'm sharing a card with the Alicorn Happiness Stamp Set and the Zinnia Slimline Die Set.

I start out by stamping my images onto Bristol Smooth cardstock.  It’s important to use Bristol Smooth cardstock because I colored my images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  When you use the Bristol Smooth cardstock, you won’t get the pilling that you would if you used another type of cardstock.  Bristol Smooth is a type of cardstock that is sold by several brands.

I did no-line coloring on the butterflies and alicorn, so I stamped the images using a no-line coloring ink.  I’ve included all the colors I used to complete this project down below.

After I finished coloring the images, I sent them through my Brother Scan N Cut to cut the images with a 1mm white border around them.

Next it was on to the die cutting.  I die cut a panel of smooth white cardstock with the Zinnia Die Set. I used the 2nd largest die to cut the white panel. It has a lot of great detail on the border. Kind of like an eyelet style, it’s gorgeous.

Next, using the largest die from the Zinnia Die Set, I cut a panel from strong white cardstock to use as the back panel of my card.  With the same die, I cut a panel from holographic cardstock.  I created a score line approximately ¾” from the top of the back panel.  Then I attached the die cut holographic panel with liquid glue to the back panel, just above the score line.

I created some clouds on the front white panel and stamped the sentiment in black ink.  It reads “You sparkle with Alicorn specialness”.  It’s in a super cute font.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the butterflies and Alicorn, “Alicorn Happiness”.

To finish off the card I adhered the butterflies and Alicorn to the front of the card.
