Bunny In The Garden!

Hello Crafty Friends! Amanda here from @CaveWitchCrafts, and I'm back on the blog to share a fun interactive garden scene! I created a similar card for TLC Designs May release Instagram hop, and I wanted to share details on how I created it.

I started this card by cutting out the oval panels from the Oval Lily Frame die set and bushes from the Scalloped Rectangle Garden Dies. I inked the smaller oval with brown distress inks and the bushes' in greens. I distressed the ink with water and splattered them with a white paint and water mixture for added texture. Before going on to the next step, I let the paper air dry.

Next, using the Double Dial Die 2 set, I created the sliding arch track for the bunny to "hop" back and forth on. Usually, this die cuts out two tracks, but I covered the straight track with tape and thick paper, as shown above.

Before adding the bunny from Hopping Hares to the track, I glued a slider element to a coin. Next, I adhered the bushes and the colored veggies to the scene. Then, I added a double layer of double-sided foam tape to the back of the brown-inked oval. I left space around the track to ensure the coin could still move freely.

With the coin on the foam tape side of the slider track, I glue the bunny to the top side of the slider element. While letting that dry, I cut out a black matte for the larger Oval Frame. I adhered the black matte to my card base and then glued the oval frame to the black matte. Before adding the interactive panel to the card front, I glued down my previously stamped sentiments from the Hopping Friends and Action Stamps sets.

I hope you enjoyed this card! It was so much fun to make! Join us at the FacebookĀ TLC Designs Creative Sharing group to see even more inspiration using products from the TLC Designs shop!
