To make this interactive Alicorn Scene, I started by stamping my images and sentiment on white cardstock. The images I picked for this scene are from stamp set Alicorn Happiness. I colored the images with an assortment of markers. After adding gel pen highlights and glitter pen accents, I fussy cut my images out using scissors.

Next, I cut out the big oval from Tiny Vine Oval and some clouds from Aztec Sunshine Die. The background was blended with pink, red, and orange inks using a stencil I created from the Land and Sea dies. The dies' original use is the background of the mushrooms for the Land and Sea dies, but I've found that they can be very multi-useful and look like clouds or bushes!

Now that the background is ink blended, the next step is to cut the holes in the panel where the images will be placed. It was helpful to preplan my layout and mark with a pen where I wanted my figures to lay before cutting my holes out. Then, I used the washers from The Double Dial Die 2 set to cut out three holes in my inked oval panel. I cut one circle for the butterfly and two for the horse.

I attached three coins to spin discs using clear glossy accents. While the glossy accents were drying, I used liquid glue to adhere all the stationery images to the scene.

To make the frames around the oval, I cut down some beautiful paper from the new TLC Designs paper pack, Delicious. Afterward, I adhered the patterned paper to a card blank.

Now attached to the coins, I placed the discs through the holes in the oval panel. The Alicorn and Butterfly images were then glued on top of the discs. It's important not to play with this mechanism before the glue is completely dry, or it could come apart. When the glue is finally dry, the double-sided foam tape can be added to the back of the panel. Make sure not to add any adhesive where it could keep the coins from moving freely. Peel off the backing of the double-sided foam tape, and add the panel to your scene.

This scene will be so much fun to play with and extremely easy to make! The butterfly, being on one circle, will be able to spin in a circle. To keep the Alicorn from spinning in circles, I put discs at his head and butt. Even though he doesn't spin, he will still have loads of fun movement. You can shake the images, or you can give them more specific motions using your hands.
