I hope you’ll join us for the fun, and I can’t wait to see what everyone makes!
To make this scene, I started by stamping images from sets Turtle-icious, Troll Cricket Fun, Alicorn Happiness, and Toga's and Bubbles using black ink. Then, I colored and fussy cut the images out. With a white gel pen and glitter pen, I added some accents for finishing touches.
Next, I cut out panels measuring at 4x6 on white cardstock. Leaving one panel uncut for the sky, I used my Land and Sea dies to cut out some mushroom hills and grass. I colored the mushrooms using alcohol markers, and inked the hill in blue to make it a body of water. To ink the sky, I used light blue ink and a cloud stencil from my stash. Then I inked the grass using some greens. To add more interest to the scene, I splattered the panels using some watered down acrylic white paint. I also splattered the sky with some watered down dark blue ink.
After the paint was dry, I started to put my scene together. First, using a tape runner, I attatched the mushroom panel to the sky panel. Then I repeated the step adhering the grass panel to the water.
Using a liquid glue, I added all of the images to the scene except for the sentiment and the bigger flowers. To add the sentiment, I used a mix of double-sided foam tape and scrappy tape. I added the flowers to the corners of the card using glue dots to add extra dimension. Lastly, The card was matted on black cardstock and attached to a card blank.
